PLEASE READ! All the essential info...I will plan a gentle session which will be suitable for most people but please don't participate if you have any concerns at all. You are still welcome to come along and soak up the solstice vibes. Everyone who participates does so at their own risk.
Weather: the forecast currently looks OK but is very changeable. I'll cancel if it's actively raining but will go ahead in any other weather - dress accordingly!
Location: we'll meet on the far/south side of Cullercoats beach. NB. this is NOT the side near the cafes/Watch House/RNLI - it is the other side. What3Words ///film.margin.palace We will start at 4am and finish about 4.30am. If you are driving please park sensibly with consideration for others especially local residents and emergency services. No cars are allowed on the beach ramps. The toilets will not be open at this time of the morning.
Important: It will be high tide which means there won't be a huge amount of beach. It should be enough space for around 50-100 people. It also means that if you arrive at the wrong side you'll have to walk around the top of the cliffs to join us. If there are any issues with the beach (e.g. space, litter or excessive seaweed) we will relocate to the grassy headland above the beach by the playpark.
Donations: the session is totally free but if you'd like to make a donation to Cullercoats RNLI to support their fantastic work keeping us all safe by the sea then please bring some cash. Suggested donation £5.
