Please share this event and invite others! Join KU faculty, staff and students for this annual summer solstice garden tour, led by Kelly Kindscher, Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research scientist and professor in the KU Environmental Studies Program. We will explore the garden with the Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners, who partner with the research center to manage the garden. The Full Strawberry Moon will rise at 9:10pm. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle, as well as a lawn chair if you would like to sit and watch the sunset or moonrise. The garden, which is part of the KU Field Station, is open every day, dawn to dusk. It is next to Prairie Moon Waldorf School just north of Highway 24/40, and tour participants may park in the school's parking lot if overflow parking is needed.
