Melfest 2025 - you're all invited!Backstory:
Melfest 2024 was created in honour of my very good friend Mel's 50th birthday and what a blast we had! There was shared breakfasts, waterfall chasing, wild swimming, BBQ's and general fun for 2 days (and that's coming from me who's not a fan of camping!). This was also the place that I did my first ever wild swim (skinny dip in fact!) and fell in love with the whole concept.
Present Day:
We decided to re-do Melfest this year and whilst it's not 'all about Mel' this year (although she may tell you otherwise, despite her birthday being in February) we wanted to make it bigger and better.
So you're all invited!
Dates: Friday 20th & Saturday 21st June 2025

You can camp or bring a campervan (although spaces are limited and there are no hook-ups available or sleuce facilities) and for those who would prefer not to camp the farmhouse offers B & B facilities, I can get a quote for you if you're interested in this option.
For those camping, you cannot have your car on the field so need to be able to transfer your tent etc to the field then the car will need to be parked out of the way.
The farmhouse has a bathroom with shower that is available for everyone to use.
The cost will be £15 per person, per night.
Dogs & Children welcome (as long as they're well behaved).
I'll likely arrange a walk on Saturday (perhaps via the local pub in Elsdon) and you can swim whenever suits you but I'll also arrange a time for a group dip.
The pond/lake is huge so if you're into paddle boarding etc you're also welcome to do that.
I suspect I'll arrange some other activites for the summer solstice but judging by last year it was a very chilled event and no one required entertaining. We're just a group of people, having a laugh, good conversation, great vibes!
