1 day before & the day of the tournament:Go to the tournament details screen and review the start times to ensure nothing has changed.
30 to 60 minutes before your event starts:
Check-in at least 30 to 60 minutes prior to the start of your event to give yourself enough time to overcome any unexpected delays.
10 minutes before your event starts:
Be ready for your event to start and please stay in an area where you can hear your event being called.
If you don't plan on attending an event or the entire tournament: Please contact the tournament director to let them know you are not attending.
Other than the differences listed below, the USA Pickleball rules will be followed.
Round Robin play will start promptly at 12:30
The 8 teams will play a Round Robin format on courts 6 - 9.
Court 5 is for staff and playoff viewing.
RR matches are 1 game to 11 win by 1 (first team to 11) OR 15 minutes, whichever happens first.
We must use a time limit for RR games to ensure tournament is over in allotted time
No timeouts or end changes in RR games
Time limit end will be signaled by timer. 3 minute and 1 minute remaining will be announced.
If playing a rally when the time runs out, finish the rally.
the team leading at this point will be declared the winner
If the score is tied at the end of the time limit, the team serving when time expires will be declared the winner. If your team was on 2nd serve and you lose the rally the opposing team is considered the winner.
Server bands must be worn the entire game by the first server for each team. You must also circle the first server on the scoresheet. You can switch first server for each game, if you want.
Winners bring initialed scoresheet to the tournament coordinator after the match is completed. Tournament coordinator will verify winning team and score with the match winners.
3 minutes between rounds. Once the final game of the round ends the timer begins. Be ready to play the next round. Referees will officiate RR games as available.
Round robin places are first determined by total matches (games) won.
If there is a tie, the following are the tie-breaking rules.
Head to head between the tied teams
Total point differential for all matches played by each team. After the first tie is broken, the process is repeated until all ties are broken.
Playoff and medal matches are 1 game to 15, win by 2 with an end change and 1 minute break when the first team reaches 8 points. (2) 1 minute time outs available per team.
Seed 1 and 4 play against each other as do seeds 2 and 3. Seeds 1 and 2 will have serve/side choice in their games.
The playoff winners play for gold and the other teams for bronze. Playoff and medal matches are not time limited. Winners bring initialed scoresheet to the tournament coordinator after the match is completed.
Safety: If your ball goes over to another court, do not chase it. Call "ball on court" so players can stop the rally. Definitely do not run onto an adjacent court to make a shot on your court. Both cases will be treated as a hinder, and the rally replayed.
