Summer Sewing: 3 day camp

Welcome to Summer Sewing!

Take on the world of sewing with instructor Amanda in our downtown Bakersfield studio.

In this 3 day camp we will be focusing on learning to operate a sewing machine and make a pair of summer shorts.

This is an ALL LEVELS camp. (All levels means this is a great class for students that are brand new to sewing as well as experienced sewist)

General details:

Projects: Summer shorts
In this camp students will learn how to:
-Operate a sewing machine (if they do not already know how)
-Cut out their size in a pattern and fabric
-Read a pattern to construct the shorts

June 18th-20th (Tuesday-Thursday)

1-4pm

Ages: 8-12
(We have offerings for 13-16 as well, check our Eventbrite page or website for more information)

Pricing: $200 ($50 deposit is paid on Eventbrite and remaining balance is paid on first day of session. If you are interested in paying the deposit through Zelle, Apple Pay, cash, or check, please reach out separately)

Class size: 6-8

Camp includes:

Use of sewing machines, tools, and fabric

Water and snacks, though we encourage students to bring their own reusable water bottle

Take home multiple projects that are created in class

Looking for a full day of camp? Our studiomate Emily of The Playful Space is offering a morning option for ages 10-15 (9am-12pm). If a family registers for both camps, we will offer a no cost lunch hour between the two camps. All that is required is that the family provides lunch. Other important information:

There are no refunds, but the class can be transferred to another student

In the event that a students gets sick:

They are to stay hone until they feel better

There are no make up dates for class. If a student does not finish their project, the option of booking a private lesson is allowed.
