Motes and Oats is a duo known for powerful harmonies and feel good songs. Their songs are co-written and guitar driven, with a sprinkling of dreamy flute melodies that intersect to create a style influenced by folk, country, rock and jazz but arrive at something all their own.
Motes and Oats have played across Canada including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Their song "Saskatchewan" from their debut album Simple Things won Best Folk Award in the BC based Kootenay Music Awards.
