Summer Pruning Workshop These days with much smaller spaces for gardens, summer pruning of fruit trees is the best method to control size and vigour and keep them to a manageable height for easy picking. Plus, you have the opportunity to have more trees in a small space.

What to Expect:
This workshop will guide you through the essential principles and techniques of pruning your summer producing fruit trees. We will focus on stone fruit pruning and cover briefly apple and pear pruning.
You will learn:
- Pruning principles and when to prune.
- What you do with what you have pruned.
- Benefits of summer pruning versus winter.
- Tools you need and how to care for them.
Bring along your tools, and if time requires, Brent can sharpen them for you.
Pricing:
The cost of this workshop is $20.00. Fee is to be paid either directly to the food forest account or paid on the day.
