Join us for Westerly's beloved summer community kick-off: the 43rd annual (free!) Summer Pops Westerly - presented and performed by The Chorus of Westerly and Pops Festival Orchestra, with special guest artist, Broadway Star Adam Jacobs. Featuring a grand with finale Fireworks by Grucci, the Artillery Company of Newport, and the Bells of Christ Church. Main show begins at 8 pm and pre-show at 6:15 pm.
Pre-show acts include: The Shoreline East Band, The Westerly Morris Men, and Caswell and the Peel N' Eats.
The event is free and open to everyone. No tickets required. Audience members can put blankets down in Wilcox Park to reserve their space for the concert beginning at 5 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Rain date is Sunday, June 23, 2024. There is not a second rain date.
The performance is approximately 90-100 minutes long with the fireworks going off between 925-945 (subject to change without notice!).
Since 1983, Summer Pops has been held in the beautiful WILCOX PARK, owned and operated by the Westerly Library. We are grateful to the Library again for letting us have our Pops concert in this stunning setting.

The event is appropriate for families and those of all ages. If coming with small children or those who are sensitive to light and sound, audience members are alerted to the fact this a choral/orchestral concert that is amplified through large speakers, along with bands in the pre-show also amplified. There is a short fireworks show at the end of the performance along with cannon fire (and subsequent loud noises).
Premier sponsor is Yale New Haven Health - Westerly Hospital, with ongoing season support from The Blue Mitten and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
