Internationally renowned teaching artists Heidi Swedberg and Daniel Ward take you to the next level in your ukulele journey. This class will focus on right hand technique, adding simple picking patterns to familiar one- and two-chord songs. Bring your own instrument, borrow one of ours (supplies are limited), or check out an Ukulele RED Kit from the Library. For beginning and intermediate level adults and teens. This event is one of the four-part Summer of Strum! series at Santa Monica Public Library. Learn to play the “happiest instrument in the world” and experience the joy of making music with others. Learn ukulele basics in June, join a strum-along in July, take a songwriting workshop in August, then level up your playing in September. Library events are free and open to the public; space is limited and available on a first-arrival basis.
