Jason Irwin is well-known as the lead singer/guitarist of rock/punk/pop powerhouse Phillips Head. Scaled down, solo acoustic rock performances highlight Mr. Irwin's strengths as a singer-songwriter during intimate, but still powerful musical sets. Jason is a phenomenal entertainer with an intriguing personality and an arsenal of catchy, clever songs. His style has been compared to Matthew Sweet, Elvis Costello, Paul Westerberg, Mike Ness, and Joey Ramone. Jason has been a major contributor the Upstate NY and Southern VT music scene for two decades, previously working as a radio DJ for 102.7FM WEQX and is currently the morning radio personality on 93.1 The Legend (Rise and Rock with Jason Irwin). Mr. Irwin is also known to have hosted multiple live music events. He currently is a freelance music-oriented writer for The Chronicle Newsweekly in Glens Falls, NY and owner of 518Rock.com, which books and promotes local music.
