We're kicking off summertime in style with an outdoor celebration for the whole community! Find us on Broome Street between Essex and Norfolks from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, June 26th.
Featuring:
LIVE MUSIC-- Legendary Cuban singer & bandleader Chino Pons and the beloved Brooklyn-based band Yotoco take the stage! Come for the rumba, salsa and bolero, and stay for the feel-good tunes from these talented musicians.
KIDS' ACTIVITIES-- Bring the whole family for an afternoon of safe, socially distanced fun. Make your own Wildflower Seed Bombs using locally produced compost with LES Ecology Center, or bring your own clothing to tie dye with naturally-made dyes with The Pushcart Presents! More info below.
GIFT BOX RAFFLE-- Enter to win an Essex Market Gift Box! Get a true taste of the Lower East Side with a hand-picked selection of the most unique and tastiest items from our vendors. Stop by the info tent during the event for your chance to win!

About our kids' activities:
All kids' activities will take place on the sidewalk outside Essex Market (on Broome St.). We are adhering to social distancing guidelines and will have designated spaces for kids to participate. We appreciate your patience if a spot is not immediately available for your child, and you can enjoy live music and outdoor eating until one opens up!
We will have two areas for activities:
- Seed ball making-- make your own wildflower seed ball and plant anywhere for a burst of flowery color! We will have all the supplies.
- Tie dying-- we'll have naturally-made dyes and all the supplies. YOU bring the materials! T-shirts, hats, bandanas, socks, etc. to tie dye with our specialists.
