COURSE DESCRIPTION This is the first of the three-part Introductory Japanese Language and Culture series. In the introductory series, students learn to make small exchanges in different situations through listening and speaking activities. Such situations include meeting for the first time at a party/workplace and going out for lunch/dinner with a friend. This course also introduces Hiragana, one component of the Japanese writing system.

COURSE DESCRIPTION This is the final course of the three-part Introductory Japanese Language and Culture series. In this course, you will learn simple expressions that can be used while you are traveling in Japan, in situations such as taking a train or a taxi, reading a map, asking someone for directions, shopping or making plans to meet with a friend. You will also learn to describe what you did when you traveled and talk about your future travel plans. This course also introduces about 60 everyday Kanji characters. Prerequisites: Completion of Introductory Japanese Language and Culture Part 1 & Part 2 or equivalent. You should be familiar with Hiragana & Katakana and have the knowledge and minimum skills in the list below. - - - - Greetings & talk about yourself. Talk about favorite food and eating out. Talk about family and home. Talk about daily activities, hobbies, and things you do on your days off.
