About this Event

Summer in the City August 14th Line-Up

Lunchtime Performance by , "You've seen great shows before, but trust me nothing hits like a Jamogi show.” The moment Jamogi & The Jammers take the stage, the whole room transforms. Think summer block party in New Orleans - high energy, electric vibes and a crowd that's all in.

Community Activity: Fan Making Workshop, because it’s hot out there!! Come by and paint your own fabric fan with us in the park. Supplies provided by Summer in the City.(1:30 – 3:00pm)

Art Vendors (3:30 - 6:30pm):

  • Tokeya Waci U Richarsdon of is a member of the Oglala Lakota and Haliwa-Saponi tribes and is an author and visual artist who will be sharing his work.
  • Tara Tonsor, , is a mix of Midwestern vibes, nature enthusiast and curious wanderer. She enjoys working with glass, wood, metal and stone with a self-taught curiosity for sculpture, her practice includes taking apart jewelry, adding found objects and experimenting with materials.
  • artwork often depicts fantasy characters of sapphic vampires, malevolent succubi, ethereal fairies, bikini warriors and much more! She will have prints, stickers, comics and zines available for purchase.
  • are one-of-a-kind pieces crafted to inspire strength, confidence, and individuality, where clients are not just wearers but collectors of her unique art.
  • Kelsey Pike is a production papermaker based in Kansas City, Missouri. She learned papermaking and started her brand , specializing in papers specifically designed for artists and makers, made from recycled fabric and other sustainable fibers.

Evening Performance by is a big brass powerhouse, weaving old stories in with new tales for the 21st century. American roots styles from Kansas City blues to Memphis soul blend with the exuberance of a New Orleans second line party. A mighty chorus of horns, a groove-heavy rhythm section, and big, soulful vocals highlight well-crafted original music. Their live performances are equal parts celebration of our collective musical heritage, and hope for a brighter future together.
