Holiday Activity and Food Programme Summer Kids Club
MORE INFO
Our Forest School and outdoor education sessions are designed to encourage curiosity and creativity, providing 5 -12 year olds with a day of fun-filled activities outside on our Nature Reserve.
Our Education team will spend the day leading fun, food and nutrition based educational activities at Watchtree:
· We will be in the forest all day being physically active through running, walking, climbing etc and we will offer cycle hire where there is availability within our on-site cycle hire facility.
· We will teach them skills such as foraging and have conversations about food groups and healthy eating, food miles and food waste.
· Engaging outdoor education: from foraging and flora and fauna identification to conserving green spaces.
Cycle hire included where there is availability from the Wheelers cycle fleet.
Lunch will be provided by our onsite cafe. Hot chocolate and water will be provided.
The club is for children aged between 5 - 12 years old. Meet the kids club leader in the visitor's centre from 9.50 am.
Supported by Department of Education and Cumberland Council
