Summer Half Day Forest Retreat

Join us for a morning of reconnection among the ancient woodland of Salcey Forest.

Your retreat will include:

• An hour's yoga with Time Seekers - a gentle class, suitable for all abilities.
• A break to enjoy a hot drink and a tasty snack - and good company!
• A two-hour forest bathing (mindfulness in nature) session with Wilder Lives - a slow walk through the woods with activities helping us tune into our senses and connect with nature, ending with a guided relaxation.

What you need to know:

We will meet at the shelter in The Glade - this is a new area, just off the Elephant trail (shown on map in the visitor centre).

Please allow at least 10 minutes to walk from the car park/visitor centre.

To allow a prompt start at 8.30am, please arrive at the shelter at 8.25am - you may want to use the loos (by the visitor centre) beforehand!

Please bring your yoga mat and an old towel in case the ground is damp. You are welcome to bring a yoga block or cushion for your comfort.

Wear comfy clothing and bring layers - when forest bathing we move only slowly under the shade of trees and body temperature can drop. We want our clothes to keep us comfortable and dry so we can relax and enjoy nature as much as possible, so please bring waterproofs if needed. You may also want to bring a blanket to keep you snug during our guided relaxation.

We will provide hot drinks and a snack between yoga and forest bathing but please bring your own water bottle.

Non Forestry England members - Please ensure you book your parking with us in addition to your class and share your car registration number in the booking form. We will validate your parking for the whole day so you can enjoy a walk or lunch during your visit!
