West Coast Weekender returns this summer with a twist: The Weekender Funktion.
At this four-day gathering, we’re celebrating the soul of the west coast.
The Weekender Funktion takes our signature West Coast Weekender vibe and recreates a more intimate, exclusive experience.
Expect everything from sunlit poolside parties, to dark warehouses, to sunsets ocean cruises. And, of course, those cocktails with Tajin rims that hit just right.
After being away from each other for so long, we’re ecstatic to reunite our community through color blasted urban art, pulsing house music, and a grounding, cultural vibration. We’re stacking the weekend with top-tier selectors and performers. Expect a microdose of surprise that will entice and excite even the most seasoned underground vet.
Unlike at major music festivals, the FUNKTION's carefully curated settings allow the weekend’s guests and performers to mingle, meet and create meaningful connections. We’ll be taking over a handful of venues across the city to keep every part of the weekend feeling fresh. Check out the full itinerary and locations list below.

The Adult Playgrounds (Locations)
Lafayette Hotel & Bungalow - Your home away from home for the weekend, step through the doors of the legendary hotel near Balboa Park and discover history redefined. Since 1946, The Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club & Bungalows has welcomed celebrities and locals to relax in their spacious guest rooms, suites and private bungalows. Playful and fun, unique and historic, there's no better place to make your escape.
The Pool: Bask in the Weissmuller Olympic Pool at The Lafayette Hotel. Pool Soirees will be held here featuring a full range sound system, poolside service, and sun for days.
The Conservatory: Located inside the foyer of the Lafayette Hotel, The Conservatory is an open spaced central meeting zone where the Funktion will transform into a warm dance floor equipped with 4-way Subtract Sound…. mmmm.
Quartyard: The open-air container park is a hot spot for dance music lovers, hosting some of the liveliest daytime discos in San Diego.
The Warehouse: Dark, loud, secret, and late. You get it.
The Boat: Hornblower cruise boats is the premier party fleet showcasing tours of the San Diego bay and Coronado. The sunsets are amazing, hold on to your Captain’s hat.
