Our Summer Intensive offers a dynamic and enriching experience for dancers. Dancers will explore a variety of dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, musical theatre, and more, taught by both guest instructors and SSA faculty. For those eligible, pointe work will be incorporated throughout the week. On the first day, dancers will participate in a placement audition to ensure they are grouped according to their skill level.
This intensive is designed for dancers enrolled in Elementary 2 Ballet through Advanced levels, as well as those in Intermediate Jazz and Modern levels and above.
Payment of 50% due at time of registration. Remaining balance due June 1. Payment due in full after June 1.
Registration Opens January 15.
We are excited to have you join us for the Summer Dance Intensive!
For attire, please wear a solid-colored leotard, pink tights, and have your hair securely pinned in a bun for ballet classes. Jazz shoes are required for jazz and musical theatre classes, while dancers in modern classes may wear bare feet or Hanami Pirouettes.
Get ready for a summer full of learning, growth, and fun!
Dancers will also need to bring:
Yoga mat and heavy resistance Theraband for stretching
Foam roller (24" or 36" recommended)
Ankle weights
5 lb weight (younger) and 10 lb weight (older)
Lunch (please refrain from any products containing peanuts)
LABELED water bottle(s)
Optional items:
Ballet skirt for center work
Jazz shorts (not gym shorts) for jazz and modern
Loop resistance band for stretching
Character Shoes
