Join NewBo City Market for our Summer Culinary Camps!Our 2024 instructor is Ms. Carly Hachey, a teacher in the Linn-Mar district with over 17 years of experience in the classroom and TWO masters degrees in education. She will guide our campers through a week full of food-based learning! Kids will have the chance to explore different topics through activities taking place in the Market Yard and Culinary Kitchen. All activities will be age appropriate , educational, and most of all, FUN!
July 8-11: Food Truck Frenzy!
Campers will create a mini food truck festival where they will design their own food truck concept and cook dishes to serve to their peers. Throughout the week, campers will immerse themselves in the art of food truck cuisine, entrepreneurship, learning essential cooking skills, exploring diverse flavors, and unleashing their creativity as they design and operate their very own "food trucks"!

THIS CAMP IS FOR KIDS 7-12 YEARS OLD.
Camps are held from 9am-3pm, Monday-Thursday at NewBo City Market (1100 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52401).
Dropoff is from 8:40-9:00 and pickup is from 3:00-3:20pm.
Campers are required to pack a lunch.
What to Bring (please clearly label all personal items):
Backpack (to store personal items)
Snack
Lunch
Reusable water bottle
Rain jacket or poncho
Sunscreen & bug repellant
Sturdy shoes & lightweight clothing
Hat and/or sunglasses
Change of clothes
