Concert Lineup:
+ Aug 2 - Matt Blais
Roots-rock troubadour Matt Blais goes in search of authenticity, passionately advocating for connection in good times and bad. Matt Blais is the current Calgary Songwriter in Residence and has collaborated with Sam Roberts, played over a thousand shows, opening for acts such as Blue Rodeo and The Strumbellas, and performed venues like Calgary Stampede’s Coca-Cola Stage, Big Valley Jamboree Songwriter Stage.
+ Aug 9 - Heather Blush
Whether playing solo or with her (up to) 5-piece band, Heather Blush performs mostly original music that is witty and engaging. Armed with her unique guitar playing style and a silky voice, she adapts her performance to suit the crowd in the moment. Although original music is her main focus, she can also hold her own for a venue more suited to vocal jazz standards or blues tunes.
+ Aug 16 - Michela Sheedy
With a bit of rock, a hell of a lot of soul and a throwback gritty vibe, Michela crash landed on country radio with her irresistible debut single, “I Make Bad Look Good” in 2018. She quickly established herself as a force to be reckoned with both on and off the stage. Notable Life’s Breakout Canadian Musician of the Year marked critical next steps in her career with the release of her follow-up single, “Lost” in 2020.
+ Aug 23 & 30 - Miranda Martini
Singer songwriter Miranda Martini is based in Calgary. She has composed extensively for theatre, TV and film, most recently appearing in the NFB film “John Ware Reclaimed,” which premiered at the 2020 Calgary International Film Festival in September. Martini wrote and recorded the majority of her first album, "Calendar," a meditation on seasons and occasions, while completing her Masters of Songwriting at Bath Spa University in the UK.
