From ancient plays at the Theatre of Dionysus to Hollywood classics at Cine Thisio, open air theatres are a longstanding and much-loved Greek tradition. At its annual Summer Cinema, the Hellenic Museum brings a slice of this great pastime to Melbourne.
Over three Friday nights in February, the Museum's leafy courtyard will come to life with classic films, movie snacks, and authentic Greek food by special guest caterers: The Pontian Club's cult following pop-up kitchen!
Doors open from 6.30pm each session for food and drinks, with screenings starting at sundown, approx. 8.30pm. This year's films include:
