This is a week-long fun and intensive chamber music workshop.
Monday to Saturday, July 15 – 20, 2024
Young artists receive coaching from members of the High Level Trio and other esteemed MacEwan faculty through daily ensemble coaching, ensemble masterclasses, instrumental technique classes, guest artist presentations, and sight-reading jam sessions as participants explore the methods and the madness of chamber music!
They will also have the opportunity to learn with others, enjoy fun activities, attend the Faculty Concert, and gain performance experience in their Student Concert.
This is the 3rd year the High level Trio has led a Summer Chamber Music Workshop. For the previous 2 years, the workshop took place in the Windsor Park area. The workshop was called the Windsor Park Summer Chamber Music Workshop.
Participants
This high-level chamber music workshop is for intermediate and advanced string and piano students. It is great for junior high, high school, and even post-secondary students craving additional chamber music experience.
Ages: 11 to 20
Requirement for Strings: Minimum Level 7 RCM
Requirement for Piano: Minimum Level 10 RCM and ability to sight read chamber music.
