9 AM to 1 PM | Ages 7–10Registration cost for a half-day camp is:
$260 for Gallery Members
$290 for non-members
This summer, young artists will discover the Gallery as they look at, think about, discuss and create art in new, creative and thoughtful ways!
From July 8 to 12, campers will have the opportunity to explore four exhibitions through activities and tours: Emily Carr: A Room of Her Own, HORIZONS, OF & ABOUT POSTERS: THE LAWRENCE WEINER POSTER ARCHIVE (1965–2021) AT THE VANCOUVER ART GALLERY and Black and White and Everything In Between: A Monochrome Journey.
Taking inspiration from the works and ideas on display, campers will then experiment in-studio with a variety of mediums and processes to create their own works of art.
At the end of the week, campers will celebrate with a Summer Camp 2024 exhibition on the final day of the camp, where work will be displayed and shared with family and friends.
Camps will be offered for children aged 7 to 10. Capacity is limited to 15 participants.
Please bring two nut-free snacks and a water bottle. Food and beverages will not be provided.
