Enjoy a relaxing and refreshing break in the Yorkshire Dales. Immerse yourself in meditation on this retreat focusing on practices for improving concentration, mindfulness and inner peace. A retreat gives us the time and space away from our usual activities to gain a deeper and more stable experience of our spiritual practice.
This retreat will explore the development of a Peaceful Mind. It will help to reduce stress and other unpeaceful minds. We can start to develop this peaceful mind by improving our concentration and engaging in meditations on objects that will bring about experiences of peace and happiness.
The meditations will be guided and the retreat is open and suitable for everyone, regardless of experience. Each meditation session will begin with short prayers, then there will be a talk followed by the guided meditation. Supper on Friday evening is at 6pm and the retreat begins at 7.30pm Friday evening and ends Sunday at lunchtime.
There will be time between the meditation sessions to relax, chat to others and to enjoy the surroundings.
Comfortable accommodation is provided in single, twin or shared rooms (4 bed). Prices are for the whole retreat and include vegetarian meals.
