Week Three (June 18th-21st): Art Around the WorldPre-K through 8th Grade
Grab your passport and pack your bags! Get ready to discover the unique stories and landmarks around the world through the lens of art at Create Your World! This week, we're exploring the history and culture of our local area and using it as inspiration to create unique pieces of art. From sketching iconic landmarks to painting the people and places, we'll use our surroundings as our canvas to create stunning works of art in a variety of mediums.
We'll be celebrating the beauty and diversity of our community with the limitless potential of art. Each week a Special Guest Artist will visit us to share their techniques and art within the weekly theme. Camp producer and collage artist Derek Gores will lead some of the prompts in this exciting week full of surreal surprises. Oh, THAT can be art? Get artsy while cooling off with a water activity on Thursday! Then Friday is the big show! Campers will put on an art show to display their water-inspired creations for all to see! Join us for a fun-filled week of exploration, creativity, and endless possibilities!
