Summer 2024 Art Class - Session 1 (6 weeks)

About the Class

• Activities: Each class session will feature various art activities and projects tailored to the interests and abilities of children ages 6-12 with special needs. These may include drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, mixed media, and more. Participants will be free to experiment with different materials and techniques under experienced instructors trained in working with individuals with special needs.
• Adapted Instruction: The art class curriculum will be designed to accommodate the diverse needs and abilities of participants, with a focus on providing adapted instruction and support as needed. Instructors will employ inclusive teaching strategies, such as visual aids, verbal instructions, and hands-on demonstrations, to ensure that all children can actively participate and succeed in the art-making process.

Schedule:

June 25th, July 9th, July 16th, July 23rd, July 30th, August 6th

Cost and Payment Options:

• The cost of each session will be $20, with a total of $120 for the entire summer program.

Parental Involvement:

• Parents must stay for the first session their child attends. This requirement ensures that parents are familiar with the class structure, instructors, and activities and allows them to provide any necessary support or accommodations for their child. After the first session, parents may choose to stay if they wish, but it is not mandatory.
