About this Event
Event Description -
Explore the meditative art of suminagashi, the ancient Japanese practice of paper marbling, and find flow with your creativity. Use inks, breath, brushes, and paper to paint on water and create mesmerizing marbled art. You'll learn the history of suminagashi, be guided through the suminagashi process, and try a variety of papers to create Earth-inspired designs. You'll leave with a collection of hand marbled papers to frame, collage, or write letters with, or as colorful reminders of your connection to nature. Suminagashi is great for anyone interested in slowing down and connecting to color, paper, and shape though this inspiring process. No prior experience needed. All materials provided.
