Join in for a night of meditative marbling at McCarren Parkhouse, learn a new creative skill, and leave with a collection of marbled papers (and a new creative friend!) 🌀 Come slow down this summer and revive your creative practice. Perfect for beginners any anyone curious about color, ink, and paper. You're invited!
Led by Kelly Laughlin, artist, meditation teacher, writer, and founder of Odette Press, you're invited to play with ink, meditate on color, and flow with the soothing process of paper marbling. "So relaxing," and "wow" attendees said recently.
Suminagashi translates to "floating ink" or "spilled ink" and in this workshop, you'll paint with ink on water to make mesmerizing marbled paper designs. Truly a meditative experience, this nature-inspired process can support you in soothing a frazzled nervous system and celebrating the colors of summer. Drop out of the busy mind into creative flow as you make your own marbled paper designs. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking for a creative, inspiring experience. All materials provided. Your ticket includes one drink from the bar and all materials needed to flow with ink, breath, paper, and water.

Imagine: exploring a nature-inspired process in the lush covered patio at McCarren Parkhouse. Grab a drink from the bar and settle in. Think of what helps you feel playful. Then, play: you'll be guided through a short demonstration of the process, then dive into make your own marbled papers. Meditate on color, ink, and paper, leave with a collection of one of a kind marbled papers, and leave with new connections with other curious, creative humans.
All materials provided. Ticket includes one drink from the bar.

refunds: Requests for full refunds can be made up to 48 hours of the event. Requests made between 48 - 24 hours of the event are eligible for Eventbrite credit for a future event.
