Join in for a night of meditative marbling at Grimm Artisanal Ales, learn a new creative skill, and leave with a collection of marbled papers 🌀 You're invited to slow down, grab a drink from the Grimm bar, and explore this mesmerizing paper marbling process. Curious about ink, paper, and a meditative creative process? Sign up for this workshop! Perfect if you're craving a chance to try a new process or make art in an easeful way.
Led by Kelly Laughlin, artist, meditation teacher, writer, and founder of Odette Press, you're invited to play with ink, meditate on color, and flow with the soothing process of paper marbling. "So relaxing," and "wow" attendees said recently.
Suminagashi translates to "floating ink" or "spilled ink" and in this workshop, you'll paint with ink on water. Come make mesmerizing marbled paper designs. Truly a meditative experience, this nature-inspired process can support you in soothing a frazzled nervous system as you meditate on line, water, and color. Drop out of your busy mind and step into creative flow for a night as you make your own marbled paper designs. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking for a creative, inspiring experience. the flow:
Find your seat and grab a drink* from the Grimm bar. Turn on your creativity in conversation. Then, explore the marbling process: you'll be guided through a short demonstration of the process, and dive into making your own marbled papers. Meditate on color, ink, and paper, leave with a collection of one of a kind marbled papers, and leave with new connections with other curious, creative humans.
