Sullivan’s Daughter is Galesburg's own Erin Glasnovich. Raised on the melodies of her father, she was exposed to music at an early age, and holds many happy memories of dancing and singing with her dad as he played guitar. She has since become utterly infatuated with all things music and theatre. Her decades of professional training and sheer stage time has enhanced her versatility as a performer and purveyor of stories and songs. From soul crooner to lovelorn balladeer, she masterfully delivers an eclectic performance filled with fluttering vocals and raw melodies. Sullivan’s Daughter will surely move you with her tales of woe while tapping your toes. Her debut album Faces I Will Never See can be found anywhere you stream music.The first set starts at 2:00 p.m. and the second set starts at 3:15 p.m. Refreshments available between sets. Songbag Concerts are a collaboration between the Carl Sandburg Historic Site Association and Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Carl Sandburg was a collector and performer of America’s folk songs. The concert series is named in honor of Sandburg’s book “The American Songbag” published in 1927. The Carl Sandburg State Historic Site includes the home where the famed poet and biographer was born and now rests. For more information, visit www.sandburg.org.
