Something that is felt more than seen. From a speck of sand, comes a desert. From a drop of water, comes an ocean. From subtlety comes greatness. Sukshma speaks out about finding oneself through a series of introspection. The power of one voice against many. The paradox of subtlety being the most powerful. Sukshma premiered in 2024 at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center, and was then performed at The Place and Aud Jebsen Theatre at The Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters in London, NCPA Mumbai and Art Mumbai. It has now been developed as a full length work as a part of the Performance Grant for G5A Foundation.Choreographed by Neeraj Lohani, Score - MaqtaThe evening will open with a special performance ofThe Last OneInspired by the book ‘The Last Warrior Speaks’ by Uday Desai, this work follows the tormented journey of Ashwathama, cursed to eternal suffering. Through a blend of classical and contemporary dance, this work portrays his anguish and quest for redemption.Choreographed and performed by guest artist Neeraj Lohani.
