About this course
This course is an intermediate guide to decorating cakes with a snow drop sugar craft flower.
You will learn skills and techniques using a snow drop cutter. Some previous skills and knowledge required.
You will learn new skills to make a snowdrop to enhance any special occasion or celebration cake.
By the end of the course, you will know:
• How to make the centre of the snowdrop- taping stamens to a 30-gauge wire.
• How to create the Mexican hat.
• How to create the centre of the snowdrop to form the throat of the snowdrop.
• How to thread the wired stamens through the snowdrop, ready to attach the next layer of petals adding dust and colour to the inside and outside at the base of the petals.
Resources required by attendees:
- Squires Petal Paste (Gum paste) White
- Snowdrop cutter.
- Small stamens
- Board
- Mexican hat board
- Rolling Pin
- Corn flour for dusting
- Edible glue
- Paintbrushes for glue and dusting
- PME Foam cell pad
- Modelling tools: dresden tool, ball tool.
- Wires 30 gauge
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
- Trex
- Petal dusting powder: yellow, holly/ ivy green for the sheaths, snowflake
- Cocktail sticks.
- Container to transport home
- Polystyrene or oasis with drawing straws inserted.
- Florist tape
- Note pad and pen.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
