CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Unleash your creativity and channel the vibrant spirit of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead- Nov. 2nd) with our Sugar Skull Acrylic Pour Art class. Discover the mesmerizing technique of acrylic pouring as you create stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by the iconic sugar skulls.
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of acrylic pouring. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process, offering tips and tricks to achieve stunning effects. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with various pouring methods, such as the flip cup, straight pour, ring pour and drizzle techniques, to create unique and expressive sugar skull designs.
**All materials will be provided,** including acrylic paints, skull (8.625" x 5.75" x 6.75) pouring mediums, and tools. You'll leave class with your own beautiful, handcrafted sugar skull artwork to display or give as a gift. (**Additional skulls can be purchased $18 for the 8" or a smaller 4" skull for $8)
**No prior painting experience is necessary.** This class is open to all levels, from beginners to experienced artists. Join us for a fun and inspiring afternoon of creativity and cultural exploration.
About the Instructor:
PanacheD² Art, pronounced (pe’naSH) Squared, is a collaborative venture by the talented sister duo, DeVita and Deneatta King.
Their artistic journey began in November 2019 when they attended an Acrylic Pouring class. Instantly captivated by the fluid and unpredictable nature of this technique, they have since explored various art forms and techniques, infusing their work with a unique blend of creativity and passion.
DeVita and Deneatta bring their distinct styles and perspectives to their work, resulting in a harmonious and dynamic aesthetic.
DeVita King-Patoskky: Known for her love of purple and butterflies, draws inspiration from nature, the beach, and the ocean. Her adventurous spirit and passion for learning are reflected in her versatile and captivating artwork.
Deneatta King: A self-described "flower child," brings a touch of sparkle and pizzaz to their creations. Her love for color, texture, and unique designs shines through in every piece.
