Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! Dessert Valley Sweets is here to help! In this 1.5-hour class, we'll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).
Make the whole place shimmer with a 1.5 hour Sugar & Showgirls class. Decorate 6 cookies with 4 icings while learning the basics.

We’ll be decorating a set of 6 showgirl era cookies to complete this set as we deep-dive into all things sugar cookies!
We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 6 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!
This class is on 10/02/2025 and starts at 6:00PM – 7:30PM sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to 25 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!
This class is good for ages 10 and over, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself!
The class will be held at Craft Nights located at 3241 E Shea Blvd #9a, Phoenix, AZ 85028. Nervous about the parking situation? Don’t be! Parking is pretty easy - They've got a designated lot right our front!

These classes are based in Northeast Phoenix and cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you.
For our classes, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and I’ll take care of the rest. Oh – and bring eyeglasses so you can see the instructional PowerPoint if your eyesight is anything like mine. You will get a set of pre-baked cookies (pretty tasty if I do say so myself) as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate them during the 1.5 hour class. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cookies!
A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since 2023 – and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are Weddings, Halloween, anything birthday and bachelorette! – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!

Cancelation / Refund / Sick Policy
Showing Symptoms Before 3 Days Out:
If you’re sick prior to the 3-day refund cutoff, you can cancel for a full refund! And might we say thank you for quarantining. To request a refund you'll go through Eventbrite.
Showing Symptoms After 3-Days Out:
For any sickness symptoms prior to your class’s start time but after the 3-day refund policy, please email us before your class’s start time, and we’ll give you a credit for the next class!
You Don't Show Up or Email Prior To Class:
We totally understand that life happens – but if we don’t hear from you before class and you don’t attend, we won’t be able to offer a refund or reschedule. Please just shoot us an email ahead of time!
DIY / Add-On Kits
Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and I’ll email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class.
How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.

Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund including your Eventbrite fees.
Classes with attendance below 6 people will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 3 before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.
