In our tenth year, our annual Christmas celebration through the songs of Sufjan Stevens comes to Huddersfield. The event will be full of joy and is a great alternative to a traditional carol concert. We've got together a plethora of professional musicians and members of the community to create a quality and inclusive performance.
Previous events have been held in Lancaster, Edinburgh, Dartington and even online during lockdown in 2020.
Across the 2000s matchless independent artist Sufjan Stevens created a 10 volume album of beautiful, odd, impressive and compelling Christmas Songs, many of which have become modern Christmas classics.
We have chosen and arranged songs ranging from the beautiful Barcarola to the ridiculous Let’s all Boogie to the Elf Dance. We’ll have some interactive elements and readings as well.
Tickets are £10 (£12 on the door) and £4 for children.
