About this Event
In a truly great economy, everyone — whether it’s individuals, families, businesses or entire industries — benefits from its growth. How can we build an economy that works for all in the Capital Region?
For our next "Suds and Solutions" event, Solving Sacramento is hosting a discussion about We Prosper Together. It's a new initiative of 150+ organizations in eight counties surrounding California's capital that wants to take a more inclusive approach to economic development by creating livable-wage jobs and encouraging diverse investments into the regional economy.
Our panelists will dive into the state of the Capital Region’s economy, including how it can take advantage of its assets and take action to address challenges and disparities. They'll be discussing key points and highlights of two new research reports: We Prosper Together’s Capital Region Economic Assessment, and Valley Vision’s Inclusive Economy Poll of local residents’ experiences and perspectives related to economic opportunity, access and awareness.
Join us on Thursday, May 9, from 5 pm to 7pm at Track 7 Brewing in Curtis Park. There's no charge to attend, plus we're giving away $100 worth of free drinks on a first-come basis, so be sure to arrive early!

ABOUT SOLVING SACRAMENTO: We're a collaborative of nonprofit and for-profit local newsrooms, educational institutions, and community partners working together to produce and share news stories on the issues that most impact the greater Sacramento region. We launched in 2022 with one initiative: solutions to affordable housing. In 2023, we expanded our coverage area to include economic development, arts and the environment. We are raising money for resources to help us produce these stories.
