Political Crisis and Humanitarian Catastrophe
About this Event

Amid a crowded global crisis landscape, Sudan stands out as the world’s most severe humanitarian emergency. Since a military coup in 2021 and the outbreak of civil war in 2023, violence between rival armed forces has devastated the country. Civilians have borne the brunt of the conflict, with death toll estimates reaching 150,000 and entire communities destroyed. International efforts to halt the war have faltered, while foreign interventions have fueled the fighting. Join us for a timely conversation on Sudan’s unfolding conflict and the urgent need for international action to prevent continued violence, mass displacement and a deepening humanitarian crisis.
