Grupo Sudamericanto present: Songs of Resistance, Beauty and Love
Join us for an unforgettable evening of música latinoamericana that celebrates resistance, beauty, and love. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Show will begin at 7:30 PM.
Sudamericanto’s unique brand of música latinoamericana combines Brazilian jazz with folk rhythms from Chile, Perú, Venezuela, Cuba and Puerto Rico.
They lean on the power of song to liberate our souls and celebrate our ROOTS, taking audiences along a musical storytelling journey across South America and the Caribbean.
Led by multi-faceted Puerto Rican vocalist/interpreter Madeleine Zayas alongside high caliber Bay Area musicians/educators, Sudamericanto performs original arrangements of classics from Victor Jara, Milton Nascimento, João Bosco, Chico Buarque, Guinga, Pedro Luis Ferrer, Tite Curet Alonso, El Topo as well as originals by Marcos Silva and Madeleine Zayas.
