One Vegetable, One Community Annual Seed Packing Event
Bemidji--- Community members are invited to help pack corn seeds for free distribution in Bemidji, Blackduck and Kelliher for the One Vegetable, One Community project.
This fun and casual family event involves sipping the beverage of your choice while assembling seed packets. Children 10 years of
age and over are welcome with supervision.
One Vegetable One Community (OVOC) is a program aimed at uniting communities by encouraging gardeners to plant, grow, cook and/or share a single vegetable. The goal is to see the vegetable of the year growing in:
 Home gardens
 Community and school gardens
 Containers on front porches or balconies
 In front of businesses
 A faith-based organization
 Government buildings and grounds.
OVOC starts a conversation in the community about food, nutrition and how a community can support healthier choices.
