Instead of awkward speed dating, watch as creative matchmakers introduce their chosen candidates live on stage. They’ll pitch, hype, and showcase why their friend might just be the perfect catch — with the help of visual aids like a PowerPoint, slides, or props to bring their presentation to life.

Guiding the night is a carasmatic MC, keeping the energy high, transitions smooth, and the crowd smiling from start to finish.

Here’s the twist — the audience decides the winners, judging matchmakers on presentation style, crowd reaction, and whether their candidate actually lands a date by the end of the night.

And to make it extra special — this event was created in partnership with the original admins of Subtle Asian Dating Toronto, bringing authentic SAD energy to the stage.

This event is not exculsive to only Asians we welcome everyone to join in the fun and chaos of the night!

🎭 For the Matchmaker Auctioneers:

Matchmakers will take the stage with their chosen candidate(s) and have 3-5 minutes to present them. Presentations can include pitches, hype-ups, mini-skits, fun facts, or talent showcases, visual aids like PowerPoint slides or props are sugessted to help showcase your candidate’s personality and qualities.

The goal: Convince the audience that your candidate is the ultimate catch.

🏆 Scoring SystemThe audience will score each matchmaker’s performance based on:

1. Presentation & Creativity – Was it engaging, fun, and unique?
2. Crowd Reaction – Did the audience vibe with it?
3. Successful Matchmaking – Did the candidate actually land a date by the end of the night?

The highest-scoring matchmaker will be crowned the night’s champion and win prizes — along with their candidate.
