Strong Water is an Americana Folk group born in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. They've been making music inspired by the valley's picturesque landscapes in Harrisonburg, VA since 2014. Strong Water has a unique blend of 2010s folk reminiscent of The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons, fused with the raw energy of late '90s rock like Rage Against the Machine or Audioslave. With heartfelt lyrics, half-time breakdowns, gnarly upright bass grooves, and piercing fiddle solos, Strong Water crafts a sound that is both timeless and of the moment.Following a hiatus prompted by the challenges of the pandemic and a serendipitous journey to Ireland for their lead singer, Strong Water is back on the scene with a renewed passion for live music. With the frontman's return to Harrisonburg, the band is hitting the road and the studio, ready to continue their musical odyssey. Known for their reputation as a "party all night" group unafraid to push the boundaries of traditional folk instruments, Strong Water is poised to bring their infectious energy to stages across VA and beyond.
