Sublimity, spearheaded by Boston area saxophonist Eric Barber, combines four of the country’s finest musicians from the Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, and NYC creative music scenes. Completely improvised, Sublimity unites at the nexus point of the ecstatic and the cerebral. Their insatiable risk taking combines with a deep trust in the beauty of the moment. The members of Sublimity have performed with the icons of creative music, including Nels Cline, George Clinton, Charles Gayle, Joe McPhee, Joe Morris, Matthew Shipp, and Wadada Leo Smith among many others.
