About this Event
Make It & Take It with Glenn Laird
During this half-day workshop, participants will experiment with three different creative processes: sublimation printing, heat-applied vinyl transfers, and button making.
Sublimation printing produces vibrant colors that can be transferred onto any item with polyester molecules on its surface, including shirts, notebooks, mugs, and key chains. Heat-applied vinyl is cut by hand or machine, then transferred onto cotton fabric with heat to create unique images. Specialty buttons are made from paper artwork in various sizes (1”, 2 ¼”, 3”), whether pictures, sketches, drawings, rubber stamping, or pre-printed imagery.
Basic quantities of most items will be supplied; larger quantities subject to additional charges. Participants should bring their own white polyester shirt for sublimation printing, cotton t-shirts for heat-applied vinyl, and appropriately-sized artwork for button making. Beginners welcome!
