Eufonia is excited to present the first edition of Sub_Bar - a playground for sub frequencies and haptic art. We want to know more about music, and our perception of it: how much can we limit our choices, while still being able to transmit an idea, an intention, an emotion? We invited deaf and non deaf artists to create works using only subfrequencies: their compositions will be played through a quadraphonic subwoofer system, transforming ACUD MACHT NEU in a musical pressure room, for a listening experience that activates the whole body.
Inspired by music therapy and jazz, we also created a setup where guests will be able to jam with each other, using one subwoofer each: bring your own instrument, or use some of our own to explore music using the very basics elements of communication. Sub_Bar is a space for people to meet and interact like they never did before.
Saturday afternoon we’ll also host a special electronic music workshop for deaf and hard of hearing, supported by sign language interpreters. Find the ticket link below, or send us an email at [email protected].
