SUB/stance. proudly presents the Perth instalment of Outrage's Behind The Eye's Album Tour, his monolithic debut solo LP dropping on Function Records on May 30.
A highly respected figure in the UK's dance music scene with a career spanning over two decades, Outrage has been a significant contributor to the industry and culture assuming a number of roles throughout his career including pirate radio owner, DJ, producer, label owner, promoter and music technology educator.
Starting in 1995 as DJ Rage, he co-founded Shock FM in the mid 90s, a pirate radio station in Bedford. By 1999, he was touring globally and a resident host on Rinse FM. Transitioning to Outrage in the mid-2000s, he played a pivotal role in the J-Tek movement, blending jungle and techno sounds.
Now, with an exciting release schedule including forthcoming releases on esteemed labels such as Goldie’s Metalheadz Platinum, Function Records, Overshadow, Adam F, Kirsty Hawkshaw’s new 181 Label, Tim Reaper's Future Retro, and his own Backlash label, along with his debut Outrage solo album 'Behind The Eyes' on Function Records in May 2024, Outrage continues to push the boundaries of drum & bass and jungle.
In 2017 he founded Education & Bass, an online music technology learning platform, showcasing his commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in music education. Through Education & Bass, he empowers aspiring musicians from all walks of life, exemplifying his dedication to fostering positive change through music.
His national Behind The Eyes album tour kicks off in July, with stops scheduled in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth & Brisbane and we can assure the Perth show at 201 Below will be a marvellous display of underground Drum & Bass and street culture.
