Styx returns to The BayCare Sound with special guest Loverboy! Styx has forged an indelible legacy both on record and onstage with hits such as Renegade, Lady, and Come Sail Away. The seven men comprising Styx have committed to rocking the Paradise together with audiences far and wide by entering their second decade of averaging 100 shows a year, and each one of them is committed to making the next show better than the last. Styx draws from over five decades of barnburning chart hits, joyous singalongs, and hard-driving deep cuts. Styx hit its stride with guitarist/vocalist Tommy Shaw’s first LP with the band, 1976’s Crystal Ball, and then they become the first group to score four triple-platinum albums in a row: The Grand Illusion (1977), Pieces of Eight (1978), Cornerstone (1979), and Paradise Theater (1981). Styx released their 17th studio album in 2021, Crash of the Crown, which was written pre-pandemic and recorded during the trying times of the pandemic.
For more than 40 years, Loverboy has been Working for the Weekend (and on weekends), delighting audiences around the world since forming in 1978. With their trademark red leather pants, bandannas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, Loverboy has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques.
