About this Event

Join Full Moons + Dead Poets on August 19th for a magical dinner under the Sturgeon Moon!

Full Moons + Dead Poets (Chef Davis Long, Amanda Ziebell Mawanda, and Steve Mullaney) are delighted to invite you to our next multi-course dinner thrown under the full moon.

The name of this month's moon is Sturgeon Moon - it comes from the giant lake sturgeon of the Great Lakes; this native freshwater fish was readily caught during this part of summer and was an important food staple for the Indigenous people who live in the region. August is also a seasonal Blue Moon and Super Moon, so it is destined to be a magical evening!

We'll dine at the glass-walled 14th floor of the Midtown Exchange Building in Minneapolis (2929 Chicago Avenue). You'll arrive to a welcome beverage and panoramic views of Minneapolis.

Dinner will be a multi-course tasting experience featuring local, foraged and seasonal items. The evening ends with a toast to the moon followed by a group howl.

6:30 PM -- Welcome & Cocktail Hour

7:00 PM -- Dinner is Served

9:00 PM -- Howl at the Moon & Depart

This dining experience will have a sliding scale of $50-80. All proceeds beyond the cost of the food go to Chef Davis who is putting in dozens upon dozens of hours towards experimenting, practicing and crafting this menu.

There are 14 seats at the table - we hope that you can join us at one of them!
