This play follows the extraordinary journey of John Rosenberg—from his childhood as a Jewish boy in Nazi Germany to his life’s work as a civil rights attorney and, ultimately, his decision to make Prestonsburg his home. For over fifty years, John and his wife Jean have stood shoulder to shoulder with the people of Appalachia, founding and leading AppalReD Legal Aid and fighting for miners, families, and communities across our region.
More details about John and the show can be found at https://jeffsherr.org/stumblingstones/
After the show, there will be a live talkback featuring John and Jean themselves. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will go towards funding AppalRed Legal Aid. More information on this wonderful organization can be found by visiting https://www.ardfky.org
