Are you ready for a third edition of STUKswing? We do hope so cause we got some nice things planned for you all!We invite the Jake Walker Quartet for an evening full of top notch swing music. Normally playing as a septet, these musicians know how to play for swing dancers and bring you the in & outs of jazz swing music.
🎹 Wouter Van den Broeck - piano
is the musical director of Jake Walker Septet and an in demand swing pianist in Belgium. He’s part of the house band of the The Sounds in Brussels and has his own quintet and other trio under the alias don Marsh, combining his love for improvisation and classical music.
🎼 Pieter Mortier - contrabas
is the go-to swing bass player in Ghent, having played in dozens of groups, ranging from gipsy jazz to New Orleans and chanson. With a sense of entrepreneurship, he is at the forefront of various socially engaged and interdisciplinary projects in Ghent.
🥁 Simon Raman - drums
is a real musical polymath. His dynamic presence is felt across the vibrant Ghent scene, with engagements spanning from the avant-garde jazztrio Steiger, experimental pop-bands Uma Chine and Peenoise and Kobe Boon’s Mos ensemble.
🎺 Cedric De Lat - trumpet
Cedric will join STUKswing to give some extra swing to STUKswing!

💸 We don't ask for an entrance fee so everyone can enjoy a nice evening full of music & dancing. We will be passing the hat to cover the costs for the band. Contribution is open, but a warm request to donate generously so we can keep organizing these events. Bring some cash money or put a paying app on your phone. 😉
