Join photographer and MOCA exhibition artist, Doug Eng for a walk in Downtown Jacksonville while discussing photography techniques. This workshop will discuss techniques to develop the ability to “see” through feelings and ideas rather than react to events or conditions. The city provides the backdrop for this second workshop, where we will talk about photographing the urban landscape, man-made objects, and “street” photography. Our walk will be around James Weldon Johnson Park (Hemming Plaza) with feedback provided by the instructor. We will return to the museum for closing thoughts.
A phone camera is preferred as the class will be taking lots of pictures as if we were sketching. Please be familiar with how to take a picture with your phone or whatever device you decide to use. This is not a “how to use your camera” workshop.
The class will meet at MOCA Jacksonville. Workshops will begin promptly on time, please arrive accordingly.
