Student Artist Workshop: Clay Luminary Workshop with Helen WuJanuary 10, 2026

Price: $35 for members; $40 for not-yet members
Learn to build your very own candle luminary using the slab-building technique! You’ll work with medium sized slabs of clay and customize your luminary with patterns, stars, flowers, or any design you’d like. Luminaries are a perfect beginner-friendly pottery project and a wonderful way to bring home a functional piece that adds a little magic to your home. Watch as candlelight shines through your designs and casts beautiful unique shadows and patterns on your walls! This workshop is ideal for new potters or anyone wanting to try pottery for the first time. No experience is required, just bring yourself and your creativity!
Pots can be picked up on January 23 – February 14. WMA will not be responsible for any pots not picked up after the designated dates.
